Premana è un paese nel cuore della Valvarrone a quaranta chilometri da Lecco. Un borgo aggrappato alla montagna, circondato dai boschi, dove le case si stringono alle case senza soluzione di continuità.
C.A.M.P. è nata qui, nel 1889, e qui è cresciuta e rimasta.
I prodotti realizzati dal fondatore, il fabbro Nicola Codega, erano destinati al mercato locale. Ma già negli anni Venti del Novecento, con le prime piccozze per il corpo degli Alpini, lo sguardo si è spinto più lontano.
Agli anni Settanta risalgono le collaborazioni tecniche con Greg Lowe e Yvon Chouinard e nel 1988 ha visto la luce la prima filiale estera.
Oggi gli attrezzi C.A.M.P. sono distribuiti in oltre 90 paesi, hanno ricevuto premi prestigiosi ed equipaggiano alpinisti e climber come Denis Urubko, Luka Lindič, Nicolas Favresse, Ines Papert, Janja Garnbret e Stefano Ghisolfi.
“Fare qualcosa di speciale”: è questa, da oltre 135 anni, l’idea alla base di ogni nuovo prodotto C.A.M.P. Realizzare qualcosa che si distingua da ciò che esiste già, che faccia la differenza nel senso delle prestazioni, della durata e della leggerezza.
C.A.M.P. guarda alle necessità di chi va in montagna, analizza le risposte esistenti e ne trova di più valide per rendere più semplice, veloce e sicura ciascuna attività: dall’alpinismo all’arrampicata sportiva, dallo scialpinismo all’escursionismo, dalle vie ferrate al trail running.

Premana is a village situated in the heart of Valvarrone, forty kilometers from Lecco. A small town clinging to the mountains, surrounded by the woods, where the houses are all packed together without interruption.
C.A.M.P. was born here, in 1889, and here it grew and stayed. The products crafted by its founder, the blacksmith Nicola Codega, were originally intended for the local market. But, starting from the 1920s, with the first ice axes for the Alpini corps, the company began to look beyond.
In the 1970s, C.A.M.P. began technical collaborations with Greg Lowe and Yvon Chouinard and in 1988 the first international subsidiary was born.
Today, C.A.M.P. products are distributed in over 90 countries all over the world, have received prestigious awards and are used by alpinists and climbers such as Denis Urubko, Luka Lindic, Nicolas Favresse, Ines Papert, Janja Garnbret and Stefano Ghisolfi.
